Art Movement and Rhythm

1. The three things that i enjoyed the most about this project was trying to create a dynamic artwork that had texture and was 3 dimensional. I also enjoyed using new techniques that i discovered while experimenting with photo shop. Using the pictures we took and manipulating them to create the different types of artwork and distorting them to create the type of image i wanted to create.

2. I would give myself and "A-" because i accomplish the goal of moving the eye in a direction i am unsure about the aesthetics of the artwork though.

3. The biggest struggle for me during this project was finding photos with lines that i wanted to use in my work. I had to retake some pictures in order to achieve the kind of lines that i wanted.

4. One area that i could use improvement on is having more creativity in my artwork, i think that i can achieve this by continuing to use the skills we have learned and the more i practice and use photo shop the easier and more natural it will become.

5. The ascetic skills that i learned was creating movement, i did this by manipulating colors and using lines that were waver to create a slower rhythm.

6. The technical skills that i learned was using the selection tools, i did this when i selected a line or shape from a picture that i wanted to use. I would desaturated the picture and use the curves tool to allow me to select a line with the magic wand.

7. To create a fast movement downward i used bright colors an used straight lines with a lot of repetition to create a work that had a lot of energy that was moving downward.

8. For fast movement right to left, i had the lines tapper off and get skinner at the end of the image to create direction.I also used bright colors with a lot of repetition in the lines.

9. To create slow upward movement, i used wavy lines and less contrasting colors but i also put shapes in the work that slowed down the eye.
